It’s back, that time of year many look forward to. A time for adventures, for longer days, lemonades, water grenades. Okay enough rhymes for now.  Whatever moves you?  Wherever you go, or stay or see or hear. Summer brings opportunity for imagery. Summer images are fun, fresh, exciting, and nostalgic. Like a glimpse back to simpler times, youthful times, exciting times.

With that I encourage you to not just exist this summer but to treat this summer in a way your former younger self would have been proud of. Take photographs, try new foods, listen to music that makes you dance and sing along when no one is around. Below is an idea  I intend on doing this summer. I have also decided to curate a playlist of songs that were soundtracks to summers past. I hope to inspire you to make the summer of twenty seventeen one of your favorites. I will release the list soon.

Here’s a fun way to capture images this summer.

Do a summer camera roll challenge. Clear off your memory cards, smartphone images or whatever you use. Take as many photos you can as you go through summer and don’t post or edit any of them. After summer is over, go through and re-live each day. You will be reminded of all the fun you had and time you saved from editing and posting images, you might even end up with better images!

Try to live outside of your phone.
