KOFFEE KULT DARK ROAST

Locally roasted in small batches in Hollywood Florida, this coffee has quite the following with both the local and the online community. I started this year with this coffee as a gift along with great expectations after reading reviews online. The taste profile is strong yet smooth. It has a bold and smokey taste and a strong aroma. The most interesting thing about this coffee is its low acidity, which is surprising for a dark roast. It is smooth, so smooth that when served as an iced americano it can almost be compared to a cold brew.

I have used it exclusively with my Breville espresso machine and found to get the perfect shot it must be ground very fine. On the Breville smart burr grinder, I set it to level 5 and just over 18 seconds for a double shot, which fills the porta filter nicely. I've prepared it as a latte, flat white and a double shot alone and found the results to be consistent and invigorating. It pairs perfectly with a dash of cinnamon.

Personal Score - 4 out of 5, Highly recommended if you prefer dark artisan coffee.

Pros - Great aroma, bold yet smooth, strong and maintains taste over weeks of proper storage.

Cons - Does not produce a lot of creama

You can even buy it on Amazon if you do not live in South Florida.
